Today’s travel photo is of a picturesque street in the town of Castellina in Chianti, Italy. Chianti is one of the most well known and beautiful parts of Tuscany, known for its famous wine, its stunning scenery and its charming towns and villages. Castellina is one of the larger towns in Chianti, with weekend markets and charming streets to wander around, as well as the old castle/town hall. I visited quite early on a Saturday morning to browse the local market, before exploring the quiet streets. Many of the shop owners were just starting to set up. It was a wonderful time to visit before the tourist crowds arrive.
