Today’s travel photo is of the view of Piazza San Marco from across the Grand Canal in Dorsoduro, Venice. Dorsoduro is a nice quiet area of Venice where you won’t find the crowds that tend to flock to San Marco and Rialto. I walked across the Acadamia Bridge and past the beautiful Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute to the very tip of the island, where there are these beautiful unobstructed views to Piazza San Marco and the Doge’s Palace. It was very pleasant just to sit here and watch the boats go by with this beautiful backdrop.
