The Chao Praya River in Bangkok, ThailandThis week’s photo is of life on the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. I took this photo from Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), where I watched the boats and rice barges making their way up and down the river.

I’m dedicating this post to the victims of the terrible flooding that has been happening in Thailand, which Bangkok is currently being threatened by, with the flood waters making their way down this very river. So far nearly 400 people have died and 110,000 are homeless. If you would like to donate any money to the flood victims, click here. The floods have also affected Thailand’s tourism industry, so as travellers, the best way that you can support them is by taking a trip to Thailand when the floods are over.
