Ceramic details on a chedi at Wat Pho in Bangkok, Thailand

One of the most popular and well known temples in Bangkok, Thailand, Wat Pho is mostly known for it’s magnificent 45m long reclining Buddha. As impressive as this is, the rest of the temple also has a lot to offer. Home to the origins of Thai Massage, Wat Pho is a large complex with many different shrines, chedis and other buildings which include over 1000 different Buddha images.

I took this photo while up close with one of the four magnificent royal chedis which are all decorated in these beautiful ceramic flowers and other decorations. If you’re heading to Bangkok, Wat Pho is a must see.
