Tree covered ruins in Preah Khan in Angkor, Cambodia

Today’s travel photo is of some ruins being strangled by some giant tree roots at the temple of Preah Khan in Angkor, Cambodia. Preah Khan is a 12th century temple that, like the other temples of Angkor, was left to ruin once abandoned, and the forest took over. It is common to see these fig trees growing on the ruins throughout Angkor, the most famous being Ta Phrom; however I found Preah Khan to be just as interesting and without the huge crowds that engulf the more popular temples.
