Riomaggiore is one of five villages that make up the beautiful Cinque Terre, a rugged and spectacular piece of coastline in the Liguria Region of Italy.
Love the colors in this photo. Congrats!
That’s one of the things I loved about the Cinque Terre, the buildings are all different colours built up the cliff side, with the beautiful greens of the mountains in the background and the blues of the Mediterranean in the foreground. It’s a photographer’s delight! Walking the tiny streets of the villages is amazing as well. Thanks Kris 🙂
Colores! A stunning shot. It looks like the kind of place you could stroll almost indefinitely. Great shot 🙂
Grazie! I loved wandering through the tiny streets and alleyways, I could spend weeks there exploring and hiking the trails between the villages. Cheers
Thank you for transporting me back to my backpacking days of the early 90’s! My sister and I departed the train and hiked between each of these towns and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Best part was when the proprietor ran a tab for us at the little depot bar in the first town, because we arrived on a Friday, and had no lire until the banks opened on Monday. Sweet dreams…
Hi Kellie, I’m glad I could bring back some good memories. I loved hiking between the villages as well, it’s a very scenic part of the world. Sounds like you got to experience the friendliness of the locals, something that I noticed when I was there – the people were just so friendly and happy. Cheers
