One of the things that I love to do when I go to a new country is explore it’s markets. I find them fascinating and it’s always a great way to get to know the local people and culture. This is particularly true in Asia, and when I went to Thailand I tried to visit as many markets as possible. Many people prefer to go to markets that have different souvenirs, knick knacks and crafts, however I usually find the most interesting to be the fresh food markets. There is always something interesting to see, and I often found myself to be the only foreign person there.

If you’re heading to Thailand, definitely make sure that you visit the markets! Here are a few photos from some of the markets that I visited.
