A naga head at Wat Tham Phou Si in Luang Prabang, Laos

As I walked down the hill from the top of Mount Phou Si in Luang Prabang, Laos, I passed through the temple of Wat Tham Phou Si. Nagas (dragons) are common images in the Buddhist temples of Laos, and the stair cases are often lined with them. I thought that this particular Naga was very beautiful with it’s colours against the rustic look of the stone building.

Mount Phou Si is a lovely area to go for a peaceful walk and enjoy amazing views across Luang Prabang. If you’re in this wonderful city, make sure to head up here at least once to watch the sunset. It is not to be missed!
