Today’s travel photo is an old one of a beautiful mosaic tiled floor inside Musei Vaticani (Vatican Museums) in the Vatican City. The Vatican is an absolute must see if you travel to Rome, but don’t just visit St Peter’s Basilica. Take the time to visit the Vatican Museums on your way to the Sistine Chapel. They contain some amazing artwork and architecture, as you can see from this beautiful mosaic. I was also very impressed by Raphael’s Rooms.
I love the intricate detail of the mosaic. It is lovely! I hope I can see it in real life.
The art in the Vatican is exquisite. I just couldn’t believe the talent that these artists had.
