Today’s travel photo is of some love locks on Pont Neuf in Paris, France. The most popular and famous bridge for love locks in Paris is Pont des Arts, however there have become so many locks on the bridge that they have threatened its structural strength and have now been removed. Pont Neuf is the next bridge over and crosses the tip of Ile de la Cite, and people have begun loading this bridge up with padlocks in their quest to seal their love in the most romantic city in the world. This isn’t the only place either – I began seeing love locks in all sorts of places all over the city.
These locks threatened its structure but it is the most famous bridge around the love birds..!!
I know this place ….. I have visited this place twice.
I have seen “love locks” popping up in a few places. There was something similar I saw in Bangkok recently. I think it’s a lovely idea but Paris is the original!!
Yes they are quite popular in a lot of cities around the world.
