Antelope in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Today’s travel photo is of a Thompson’s Gazelle in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. The Thompson’s Gazelle is one of the most numerous species of antelope in the Serengeti. In fact, there are about half a million of them – so you will see them everywhere if you go on safari in the park. Obviously, they are also a favourite food of some of the big cats in the park. I saw a couple of them wedged in the branches of trees that also contained a leopard.
