Today’s travel photo is of some boats on the banks of the Mekong River on Don Khone, one of the islands in Si Phan Don, Laos. I took this photo at the southern tip of the island where the river also marks the border between Laos and Cambodia. The river was a murky brown colour as it was the wet season, but local fisherman are still happy to take you out to see the small pod of Irrawaddy Dolphins that live here if you want to.
