Today’s travel photo is a panorama shot of the entrance to Angkor Wat in Angkor, Cambodia. Angkor Wat is surrounded by a huge man made moat, and this stone bridge gives you access to the temple. From here, the huge towers of Angkor Wat seem tiny, but when you finally reach them they are just spectacular, towering high above you. I had no idea just how big the area was. I took this photo in the morning after exploring the temple. I arrived before the sun was up, so I walked across this bridge in darkness. It was an overcast, drizzly day, but that didn’t take away the beauty of the sun rising over Angkor Wat.
